Oxygen therapy
At our Maryhill Centre, we have two oxygen chambers. These have been in use since the centre was founded in 1984 and have found to be of benefit for helping to manage certain symptoms of MS, as well as being helpful in speeding recovery from sports injuries and severe burns.

Our operators are on-hand full-time and the service is available Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm, with late-opening on a Thursday until 7.30pm.
A session in the chamber lasts just over one hour. In the session, the chamber is pressurised and the client breathes 100% oxygen through a lightweight mask. As the course of the treatments proceed, client are regularly monitored.
Although no claims are made about the effectiveness of H.B.O. therapy, many clients report benefit for certain symptoms of their MS from use of the chambers. If you are interested in finding out more or wish to consider a pilot course of treatment, please make an appointment to speak to our MS Nurse, Shelagh Robertson.
