New smoking cessation group for people with MS to be piloted [22/03/06]

Members of the Revive team met recently with representatives from NHS Greater Glasgow’s smoking cessation team.

Members of the Revive team met recently with representatives from NHS Greater Glasgow’s smoking cessation team, with a view to hosting an 8-week smoking cessation support group here at Revive, particularly (but not exclusively) for people affected by MS.  They were delighted that we were interested in setting up something in partnership with them and would be willing to run the course, subject to us being able to round up sufficient numbers (approx 20-30 names).

This is obviously a very timely opportunity, with the ban on smoking in public places coming into at the time of writing!
